Starting An Online Business

Is Starting Up An Online Business Worth The Risk?

The biggest factor that puts most people off when starting an online business is the risk factor. What if things go terribly wrong? What if I lose my money? And what happens if my online business fails?  If you’ve had any of these worries yourself then it’s important to know there are things you can do to reduce the risks.  Follow your trainer’s instructions.

Smart Ways to Start an Online Business & Not Go Bankrupt

Take it Very Seriously and Maintain Structure:  Treat your online business as you would any other job and give it consistent 100% effort.  Start and stop at the same time each day and take your lunch break as you would a regular job.  Many people start up an online business and stumble at the time of making their first post because they fail to do this.  They have no structure.

Don’t Expect Success Overnight: Although some people do achieve great success within a relatively short period of time, they are usually the exception to the rule.  Understand this and recognize that starting up an online business is no different than starting any other type of business – it will take time to grow.  If you follow the steps precisely then it’s fair to say and quite believable that you could see results as quickly as 30 days.  Depending on various marketing methods, which we will get into later, you can earn money as quickly as 3 days, but don’t worry about that now.

Don’t Quit Your Day Job: In the beginning stages of your internet marketing career it’s wise to keep your day job, unless you have at least six months of cash to live on so you don’t put yourself under too much pressure, knowing that you still have to pay for personal and business expenses.

Choose A Niche or Business Carefully:  So many people start an online business that doesn’t interest or inspire them in any way, aside from being a money maker.  It’s much easier to become motivated and excel if you’re doing something that interests you.  Choose a business or niche that interests you and one that has profit potential.

Don’t Spend Too Much On Start-Up Costs:  Keeping your start up expenses as low as possible is very important.  While concentrating specifically on your target niche or business, try not to spend excessive amounts of money on things that won’t help you either produce or promote your product or sell more of your target product.  Stay focused.

Reduce Your Debts: It only makes sense to reduce your debt as much as possible before you begin your new online marketing venture.  This way you will not have the stress and worry holding your talent and creativity back.  Plus, when you do eventually quit your day job you will have fewer expenses to worry about and more money to spend on your business.

Be Serious and Ask Yourself If This Is For You?

When you’re considering anything new it’s easy to let fear get in the way.  It’s also important to recognize your capabilities, your ability to learn and retain a lot of information.  You may worry that you don’t have any business experience or that you don’t have the same potential as “Russell Brunson, Anthony Morrison or Mike Filsaime”, three very successful and well known internet marketers, where coincidentally, all of the products in this blog are from.

There is no question that starting a business, let alone an online business, isn’t for everyone but if you’re already considering it and have given it more than a day’s thought then it may be right for you.  Remember this:  Everyone who started their first online business had to start at the beginning.  Online marketing experience and knowledge is something you will acquire as you progress through the training programs and absorb the knowledge of others.

Ok, so here you are.  You have thought about starting an online business for more than a day.  You are eager to remove yourself from the work-force and the ties of a regular 9-5 job.  You’re passionate about succeeding and failure is not an option.   If you’ve read this far then its safe to say you have what it takes to become successful.  Reading, writing and watching training videos will now be how you spend most of your day.  Starting an online business will be the best thing decision you’ve ever made, especially when the checks start arriving.  It only gets better with persistence.  Do not overwhelm yourself with too many products.  Pick ONE.  Learn it and move on to the next one.  You will later discover, and relatively quickly that the pieces to this very fascinating puzzle will all fit together and when they do….It is the best feeling in the world!

About Tim Slazyk

I'm a retired IT Technician with a side business, WNY Computer Repair, who likes computers, a lot. As a result, I spend a lot of time on computers and have become facinated with internet marketing. I've learned one critical thing. It isn't easy. Fortunately for me, I have the right people on my side, meaning all of the software I promote is not only extremely useful but can earn you money. I have no problem promoting it because I use it. I also enjoy doing "nothing". Aside from doing nothing, I am co-founder of an organization named "Project Mother Earth 360", which is basically myself and an Indian scientist/inventor with patented and pending patent technology for reducing and preventing high CO2 counts in the atmosphere. We are listed on in hopes of locating funds so we can begin construction of our first facility in New Zealand. I'm just going along for the ride since I know this is a very sensitive subject with people. I've learned they want nothing to do with the environment. They turn and look the other way. Which is really sad since everything in our 24 page CO2 report is fact. I'm married with two children and hope that this organization grows to make them proud of their dear old Dad.
